BOBBY
JAMES
Producer/Performer/Drummer/DJ
When it comes to rockin the party, Drumattic (Bobby James)
has a lot of tricks up his sleeve. Be it custom live drum
kits, wicked visuals, heavy electro tracks, or all out stage
production, this is the man that has answers for all your
entertainment needs.
The past five years have been extremely busy for this self
proclaimed music addict. There are not many drummers that can
claim to have full time bookings as a solo entertainer. A
spectacle to watch, he has carved a strong demand for himself
in Vancouver playing at the hottest clubs. Currently he holds
weekly residencies at Ginger 62 (Lobby), Tunnel, The Odyssey,
Opus, and The Cecil, proving he is a staple in the scene. He
has produced and performed at special events for countless
patrons, namely: Microsoft, Telus, Canthrill, The Vancouver
Pride Society, Toy Box Productions, Toyota, Redbull, Cirque
De Soleil, Bacardi, and CTV.
In the last 2 years, Drumattic has made ground-breaking
developments in his live show. Now DJing while he drums, his
beats are undeniably tight. He smashes a custom drum rig
featuring acoustic and electronic drums, loaded with
triggered samples. Venue allowing, he also projects original
visuals behind him, synced with LED lighting.
Drumattic is the quintessential party favor, playing
alongside super DJs such as Bad Boy Bill, Groove Rebels,
Manny Lehman, Tony Moran, Dabruck & Klein, Erick Decks,
and DJ Dimitrie from Paris just to name a few.
Bobby James a.k.a Drumattic has been playing drums for over
20 years. A veteran punk rock drummer who has toured with the
likes of Kid Rock, Static X, Scorpions, and Megadeth, his
astounding skills and showman ship have been promoted by the
music industry since the 80s. He has signed 3 major record
deals and toured the world as the beat machine in bands Young
Gun, DDT (TMC/Electra), and Noise Therapy (Redline).
He is now taking the arena rock anthem attitude to making
electronic music. When Bobby isn't teching shows or loading
gear, his passion is songwriting and production. He is the
master-mind behind electro-house outfit Destineak, which
features himself and vocalist Christina Sing. They have
recently penned a 3 album contract with Moshpit Productions,
and are set to take over the world with their first
international release early 2010. Their live is show off the
hook every time, and won them "Best Live Performers of the
Year 2009" at the Vancouver Nightlife Awards. Destineak is
undeniably pop, but just dirty and funky enough to keep you
up till the wee hours of the morning.
So press play & come to the show, and don't be afraid to
sweat if you feel the rhythm running through you
.
